On June 30, the Guinness World Records title attempt will take place in the city of Sant’Antonio Abate — a record marked by support and love. The city of Sant’Antonio Abate, together with the association GPN – Neapolitan Pizza & Food Association, will donate 12,000 pizzas, all given to charity. Special thanks go to Mayor Ilaria Abagnale for her support.
The first institution in Campania dedicated to charity. More than 100 pizza makers from Italy and many other countries around the world will be present, all exclusively members of GPN. Each of them will receive the official certificate and the Guinness World Records medal, as well as a USB drive containing the full video of the entire record event. A precious keepsake of this extraordinary and wonderful event, allowing them to preserve the memory of this unique experience and the historic milestone achieved together.
The delivery of these recognitions is also a heartfelt tribute to their essential contribution to the success of the initiative — not only to the event itself, but also for their generous willingness to participate completely free of charge in such an important charitable project.
The number to beat for this new Guinness World Records title is over 12,000 pizzas, offered to all citizens of Sant’Antonio Abate attending this wonderful event, and the majority will be donated to volunteer associations.
The Guinness World Records attempt will take place in the town of the patron saint of pizza makers: Sant’Antonio Abate, on June 29–30, in Piazza della Libertà.
